Instructions for Applying for Student Teaching, October 2020: Students preparing to apply for student teaching need to read these two documents carefully and follow the instructions. The first outlines in detail all the steps to follow and documents to complete and file before being approved for student teaching. The second gives detailed instructions for logging into the student teaching portal to register for student teaching. Preparing for Student Teaching - Steps and Documents to Submit Instructions for Logging Into the Student Portal Attention Students and Alumni: September 21, 2020: Attention Program Completers - the COVID Emergency Certification is now available on TEACH. If you have finished your program (degree conferred/transcript), but you have not completed all of the assessments (EAS, edTPA, CSTs, etc.), you may be eligible for a one year temporary certificate that will expire August 31, 2021. Visit the TEACH site for more information. As a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic , there are New Certification Instructions ( Initial and Professional ). Please review/download this document, Certification Applications Instructions >In addition, the NYSED is issuing a 1 year temporary certificate for students who have not completed all NYSTCE Assessments titled the Emergency COVID -19 Certificate – Students must apply separately. Deadline: August 31, 2021.
